TOK-Reflection

TOK-Reflection
Before, in my opinion, any expression was a mode of communication. However, I was wrong. All expressions made are not able to communicate a particular message. An expresion can only be called a communication if the opposite person has understood the message and has comprihended it correctly. Sometimes an expression can be positive but the opposite person may decode it to be negative. This is miscommunication.
A perfect example of communication is:
During the Brithish rule in India, a vernacular press act had been started by the Brithis against the aggresive nationalists ( Lala Lajpat Rai, Bipin Chandra Pal, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Aurobindo Gosh, any many more). Bankim Chandra Chatterjee a true patriot composed a song Vande Maataram, in which he expressed his feelings about Mother India, but the reason behind writing this song was to communicate to the Indians and tell them about India and about the British rule. Through his expression he communicated to his fellow Indians, 'Rise, rise and fight them.'
According to terrorist, in my view, the holy sciptures express certain messages which they interpret incorrectly and give into mass killing (genocide). Thus, in this case there is miscommunication and misinterpretation.

  1. Shreyas, one is normally incapable of expressing oneself in a book; it takes lifetimes to understand oneself, and you've analysed something in 195 words!!!
Where is your contribution to this chain of thought? One example isnt sufficient... i need more reflection please!
    Better luck next time
